Big Old Vintage. Everyone else seems to be trying the CCD look in one. I feel a movement coming on.

Sorry for your loss
Chris,
I am also sorry to learn that your 16' CCD is still missing. I am glad to know that you still check in on the forum.
We did decide on Vintage, but it was your CCD design that got us interested in Airstreams over 2 years ago. We decided on a 1976 Overlander 27' mostly because the front windows were similar the your CCD. Hope to have finished photos as soon as May 1st. We did a mix of retro and new on the inside to go along with the "Spirit of 76'" theme.
Abe

It's been about a year since the last update. Has anyone heard if this Bambi has turned up yet??

I contacted him around Christmas, it hadn't turned up at that time. It is either very well concealed, or it is in a thousand little Airstream pieces, and sold on Ebay.

CCD,
It's so hard to believe how this unique 16' CCD could just disappear!
I, like most Airstreamer do, we notice other aluminum trailers while traveling, now that Ive seen the posted picture, this particular unit will be on my radar from now on!

Chris -
We'll keep an eye out for when we're on the road.
I'd just like to say THANKS for your great design - we own a 28' CCD and it is just gorgeous! Definitely NOT your father's travel trailer.
Good luck in the search - hopefully it will have a good ending.

ccd trailer
If it has not showed by now, well you know what I mean.
Todays market for scram alum. is very high. In the Minn.
area they are taking alum. boat docks and lifts every night.
I think that they are selling the scrap metal for drug money.
Keep up the faith,

It could very well be in Europe or in some other corner of the world. There is a huge, growing market for Airstreams overseas.

Don´t think so... Most Airstreams overhere are Vintage, due to weight and coolness-factor... and you need a title to get a license plate. I think the scrap-metal theory is more realistic or it´s in someones backyard.

I have periodically emailed Christopher, and he has promised to let me know if and when it is ever recovered. As of this time, I have heard nothing, and don't want to keep emailing him over it.
