STOLEN: 1967 Safari m/o 1967 Dodge 300 truck, Oakland CA.

My brother's 1967 Safari was stolen last night/today in Oakland, CA. It is *mounted* on a 1967 Dodge 300 truck base. It was in not so great condition, having been dulled out for quite a long time.

The truck cab itself is blue with a picture of an 8-ball pool ball on the passenger door. The rear Airstream window was painted black. Sorry, no pictures (My brother knows better now).

The license plate is California 5MUB682 (there is no seperate license plate for the Airstream as it is considered a housecar being mounted on the Dodge). It was parked in Oakland, CA (near the Coliseum where the A's/Raiders play -- 50th Ave and Coliseum Way to be exact).

It is suspected that former friends of my brother may have taken it up the California coast, towards Oregon or Washington state. My brother had planned to use the Airstream for a trip to Burning Man (www.burningman.com).

This has been reported to the Oakland Police, hence if you have an *actual* sighting of the combo, dial 911 with the license plate in hand and state this was reported stolen in Oakland, CA. To make sure it is still considered stolen, you can call the Oakland Police at (510) 777-3333 (their non-emergency number).

If you have any other questions about this, you can email me at hormelinc-as@yahoo.com or call me (Rob) at 1-877-360-8808 (note: toll free numbers do not honor caller-ID blocking. You can not block your phone number no matter who you are or where you are calling from. If you want to remain anonymous, you should use email).

Thanks everybody in advance! --rob

What a shame! Sorry to hear that there are people out there that would do that to someone! Good luck on the recovery. Keep us posted!

Good luck in finding it...sounds unique, maybe it'll stick out & someone will spot it with all these eyes on the lookout.
