Sold the '66 - looking for bigger

Well with great sadness we sold our 66 safari. With 3 teenagers and two adults there was no more room.

I can do a max length of 24/25 foot trailer.

What Pre 70 Airstream will sleep 5! That's 24 feet or less??

A Tradewind, perhaps. Why pre 70? '69 looks almost exactly like a '70 except for some details like the extra square corner in the wing windows... if you're looking for the previous shape, you want '68 or earlier. The pre-'69 Overlanders were 26', too big for your requirement, but the Tradewinds were 24' then.

I would look for a 66-68 Overlander, 26 ft long. We have a 66 Tradewind, 24 ft, and it sleeps 4, two in each of two fold out gouchos. To sleep 5 you need one on the floor. The Overlander layout is similar to ours, just two more feet of floor space. Good luck in your search.

A Tradewind w/ a pair of twins near the back w/ a bunk above one of them (and then 2 in the front "gaucho" or dinette - whatever the case may be).

Wouldn't be that difficult of a "mod" if you had to add the bunk.

So for me to sleep 5 - I'd have to retrofit bunks?
