So.... I Know What They Spent Their Money On

A local homeowner decides to sell the vacant lot adjoining their property.

Up goes the "For Sale" sign.

A few weeks later..."Sold!"

What is standing in their driveway today?

A gleaming new Airstream. Looks like a 28' Flying Cloud.

Dirt to aluminum.

Congratulations!

Smart neighbor. I assume they still have enough room to legally park their AS. I can easily reach it with an extension cord to keep the batteries charged and run an electric heater to prevent freezing.

(I have a wonderful neighbor that lets me store the AS beside his house, and will not let me pay him to park. They also keep an eye on it, and if I open the AS door, the noise alerts them instantly. Bestest neighbors ever!)

They must have gotten a lot of $$ for the lot as it takes one heck of a lot of those Canadian dollars to buy anything with an almost 30% exchange...... ouch!

I have a pic of the AS on the road somewhere in Texas on the AS Virtual Caravan website, but as a former paid paranoid security dude, no pics at the actual AS storage location...

Have you seen what the prices for real estate have been doing in the lower mainland?

funny story...I just BOUGHT my neighbor's lot, need the room for a large garage that will house my yet to be purchased AS. But it will have to be a used one, and yes...ouch...our Dollar is pretty weak, almost an understatement!
