Smokey Mountians

I am looking for suggestions for campgrounds near Smokey Mtn. National Park with full hookups. Plan is to go mid/late September into early October 2021. Pulling Bambi Sport so small site is no problem. Any advice is appreciated!

There are lots of them to choose from. They will be busy that time of year. But not as busy as later in October. You will need reservations. My favorite area near the Smokies is Townsend, TN. Several campgrounds there. There are some nice campgrounds on 321 between I 40 and Gatlingburg. Around Cosby.

Hammer54,
Check out this one, one of our faves: https://www.smokymountaincamping.com/
Greenbrier Campground

Be ready - the entire area will be crowded that time of year.

Whispering River, west of Walland, is nice and a bit less bustling than the Townsend “scene”. Read Campground Reviews posts before selecting a site - they vary.
Walland is also convenient to the Foothills Parkway, a less discovered but very nice road through the area.
Happy camping!
BTW, it’s Smoky Mountains. GSM, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, on the government sites. No “e”.
