Hello all my Airstream Friends.
First, I want to thank all of you how this past year have given your advice and wisdom so freely. You have made this journey of ours so much easier. Your posts have helped so much. You were all so patient with me even when I didn't know a black water tank from a grey water tank or if I even had either of them. I can just see you all sitting back rolling your eyes laughing.
,
You have had me in stitches with some of your PM's, 2Air, where are you? Above all none of you ever made me feel stupid.
For those of you who have followed our progress I have posted one of my last posts in our "Annette's Folley" thread.
Our oldest son, John, his wife and 3 year old son have taken our Airstream on her Maiden Voyage. They have called from NH they have arrived at their campground safely, I know he's 31 but I'm still his mother.
. They asked this winter if they could use it on their vacation, we said sure, But I was sure that we would have taken her out BEFORE his vacation time. Nope it's been raining here for what seems like forever.
It's kinda like having a new car and someone else is enjoying the first ride
. But that's OK, we did this Airstream thing to help build family memories. He called about 1 hour ago and He said only 2 problems, #1 our truck sucks gas like water
, #2 we now only have 2 hub caps. Harold told me that the clips were too rusty to hold them on but I insisted
.
We are leaving On July 11th for our trip to Mt Rushmore with our other 2 Grandkids. I'm going to start an On the Road thread with pictures once we get going. I'm also going to keep a log of expenses.
So now I get to say what a lot of you say,
See you down the road!
Annette
