Scammer

Howdy!

Check out this scam!

Hi , glad to hear back from you
It is not possible. I signed an agreement with The Shippers' Voice Ltd and
the RV is located Everett,WA at shipping company warehouse office. so this
is the only way for me to close the deal.I'm very busy with my work and
shipping company helps me a lot because they take care of everything(Bill
of Sale, Invoice, Payments, etc).
Due to the nature of my work (Stewardess at Delta Airways) I dont have
enough time spending time selling it.
Let me know if you want to put you in touch with them!

I just don't get it. If I cant look you in the eye and shake your hand, if I don't see something big an shiny when I hand over the cash, AND if there is no title to match the smiling face.....who was it that said, "there's a sucker born every minute", P.T. Barnum, me thinks.

The rig was nice. But my "shield up" happened immediately when the "stewardess" was a guy....

This is rich! "Stewardess"? Didn't they stop calling themselves that about three decades ago? I believe they've even moved past "Flight Attendants" and call themselves "Cabin Crew" to emphasize that they're a part of the crew just like the pilots.

And "don't have enough time"? Any idiot with a computer can look up FAA regulations online and find out that flight time for all crew members including cabin crew is limited by Federal regulation to 60 hours in a week (ouch!) but only 100 hours in a month (average 25 hours a week) or 1000 hours in a year (average 83 hours a month), in order to avoid dangerous levels of fatigue at 33,000 feet. "Don't have enough time"? They work fewer hours in a year than the average freakin' Walmart greeter!

I don't know about you, but back when I was working for a living, I'd have loved to have a job where you could work 60 hours the first week, 40 hours the second week, and then you're forced to take the rest of the month off! And to only do that for the first ten months of the year, and then you're forced to take the rest of the year off! If ever there was a perfect job for an Airstreamer, "stewardess" is the one!

In defense of the flight crews...
Those hours in the FAA limit are flight hours. Crews can work up to 14 hours a day (at my former employer) to get that 8 flight hours.

I agree that this "stewardess" never worked a day at a US airline.

Here is the scary part about e-mail scams. In the end, they are productive enough for the effort. That means people do "bite".

Thank you, my flight time does not include preflights, post flights, fueling times, etc. A 8 hour flight time can add up to a max crew duty time of 14 hours a day. I also do not work for an airline, to me that would be boring compared with flying weather

In addition once max flight hours are reached all it takes is a basic physical and a waver can be granted. Happens all the time in the military and commercial flight world.

But back on point, the ad is a scam pure and simple. There are hundreds if not thousands of them on Craigslist every day.

And if I remember correctly it's Delta Airlines, not Delta Airways.

Glad Y'all are having fun! I saw same problems y'all are!

The post has been reported to the site where it was posted. (It was not on the AS Classified site) Also reported to FBI, for what that is worth.

Delta Airlines has Flight Crew - Delta Airways has Stewardesses.

As a pilot, I know what it takes to "prepare" for flight, just to get to do what you like...sorta like being an Airstream Caretaker.... Hours of tedium, boredom, interspersed with moments of joy and/or terror.

I do not passenger in "winged busses" unless I am truly motivated...as in imminent, impending death. Nothing at all against those who choose to work in/on/around those busses.

For those who enjoy that work.... More power to you!

I love to fly! But, "commercial" passenger, I detest.

I was in the first flight to depart Austin when the 9-11 grounding was lifted. I wasn't scared...but the crew was. By the time they finished the first service I had them lead us in "God Bless America!" Everyone sang. It was one of those "moments"... We were not to be victims...

God bless America!

I'm in the same bus as you - I absolutely hate commercial flying. Unfortunately, taking an Airstream everywhere isn't always practical... or even possible.
