Saturday Is The Day

With all hope the wife and I will pickup our new 2018 AS 28 International Signature. We will head out of Fort Worth, TX area down I35W and stopping at a RV park mid way home. We just HAVE to break it in the first day, Right!

Yes you do! There is a courtship and dance that must be done.

OK, this Saturday happened a month ago.

I recommend staying the first night next door to the RV dealership. That way if something doesn't work you can bring it in and get it fixed right away and then go on to your next destination. On ours it was a valve in the Alde system in the wrong position. It was easier to trouble shoot with the techs than learning the whole system at the camp ground.

Like all things new, nerves, excitement and finally tranquility. We got to the Corp of Engineer RV park and set up camp. Although the stay was just for a day it was a wonderful time. Hot day with a cool evening meant for some interesting settings. A front moved from the east while we sat and sipped our wine watching a beautiful display of mother nature sun set of yellow and orange. AS we watched a squali of rain came across the lake heading towards the sunset. The rain was so heavy it blocked the view of the other side of the lake then stopped short of blocking our sunset.

Oh you wanted to know about the Airstream, Right? lol In short it's A Airstream. We did find some things we might change. The mattress was the number one item that had to go. The factory mattress might be ok for someone younger but not these old bones. Next will be the Dometic 320.

We looked around the airstream and thought of the items we will need to make our trips more comfortable in the future. The list continues.
