Rivit Master and not even ready to roll!

I just noticed that I have exceeded the 500 posts mark and am now classified as a "Rivet Master"!

Somehow I managed to get to this condition without getting to the point where my AS is ready to roll so I am not sure just who has "mastered" whom. I did not even find the forums until after I had acquired my project trailer. I have learned a great deal from the postings and especially from other people's experiences in the remodeling process. I have also tried to do my share of giving back to the forums based on my experiences (and mistakes). I hope that in that regard, at least, that I do qualify for the new title.

Thank you to all of you that have enriched my personal experiences in the forums thus far.

Congrats on your new hard won status. Seems to me that the 'Master" status is sort of like the certificate you get after completeing an apprenticeship. You earned it! However - if you are uncomfortable you with the rivets.... you can always change them in your user cp - and substitute a few words like "got parts? or "send cash"......

Maybe an appropriate phrase would be "Help!".

As far as completing the apprenticeship is concerned I certainly have done that. I have had to do way more things to my AS than I would want to wish on anyone. I didn't expect to have to learn so much, either, but the process has been interesting and generally rewarding. The biggest part of the hassel for me has been that I have not been able to concetrate as much time as is needed to get the job finished. There definitely have been times I wanted to just walk away from whole project. I have had my AS for over one year now. When I first got it I rather nievely thought a few months of part time work would be enough to get the job done. Well I am almost to the point of being able to do the really fun and creative parts - namely building a custom interior. The ideas are starting to come fast and furious. I just need to finish getting the interior skins back on and I can start.

Hey Mal, congrats old buddy! I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks for all the help you've given me over the past few months. Giving back? Absolutely! Please, keep giving. I found your threads early on in my process and am grateful for them. Please keep us filled in as you go forward.

Except I'm starting to get too many trailers... Actually it has been necessitated by a couple herniated disks in my neck. We're gonna cut to the chase and get travelin' -- I still look at the L'il Beluga and think she's a honey anyway.
