Smile Restore Tutorial Video on youtube

Since I bought my 73' Safari 23ft about 6 month ago, have been looking for video like this and finally found it. Now I want to share with all vintage Airstream lovers.

DIY Network, Classic Rides, 1970 Airstream Overlander Land Yacht Restoration Video Series.
YouTube - kenwinning's Channel
This series has 10 episodes x 4 part = 40 video files.
I will upload those little by little.

I found this actual trailer was listed on eBay, and I begged owner to sell me a copy of DVD. Also check out DIY network web links on "About This Video" Please enjoy!

Thumbs up

karma for ya, dude. I'm knee deep in a '69 bath upgrade and the info on painting and the aluminum wall installation is incredibly timely for me.

great stuff, thanks for posting!

Viewed the AC install twice and glad you posted these - well - sort of. Back to square one now. The one they took out has the same interior shroud as ours does now. They put in the same unit I was considering - or also thinking about the Carrier low profile.

Two things. What happened to the drain hose? For those that have done this - did you have to tuck insulation foam between the shroud and ceiling. Their example isn't going to happen in my trailer - that was butt ugly. The Coleman shroud in it now conforms to the ceiling.... ?

Thanks again for listing these.

Thanks for posting these to YouTube, they're great! Just wondering, the last one I see is 07-01, do you have the rest?

Also, for those who are interested, the entire series will be re-airing on DIY netowrk starting March 25th at 7:00 Eastern.

Airstream Introduction, Inspection, History and Tear-Out Interior : DIY Network

But, I don't want to wait that long, so if you still plan on posting the rest of the series, I'd love to see it!

Hi, I have a question. Tetz is the owner operator of paintucation a paint/ automotive website I have been on for years. I emailed him asking about purchasing the video collection for my new to me 68 30ft Sovereign. I HAVE not received an answer yet. Is the video collection for sale some where??????

If you have it, how much for a copy. Easier to watch in the shop dont ya know if its not on a computer.

Thanks

Dave

I was looking at episode 6, kitchen remodel, and in the backsplash segment they use a rotary tool to cut out small accesses in the panel. Anyone know what tool this is? I can't imagine getting a straight, thin cut with anything I've used.
