Please help me identify what model this is

Hello everyone,
I just purchased a 1958 airstream but for the life of me I can't find information on what model it is. The body is about 18 feet long, it has the traces of the red numbers 4660, Wally Byam's caravan and another that is the wally byam's international club sticker. No where does it say the model. I have contacted Airstream via email and phone and have not received a response from either. Anyone have any ideas?

Based on RJ's site: 59FC it looks like a 1959 Flying Cloud made in California.

I've had a quick glance through these
Airstream, Inc :: Specs - 1950

and think it might be a Tradewind
http://service.airstream.com/files/l...fab487e16b.pdf

although the window layout looks similar the length doesn't tie in though.

Thumbs up Bill's right!

Based on the VIN# 22D 0122 , it's a California made, double bed 1959 Flying Cloud. The 1959 models would have been built (and possibly licensed) in late '58. The length of an Airstream is measured from tongue-to-tail which would make the 18-foot body actually be a 21' model, which also confirms it's a Flying Cloud.

Looks like a nice trailer, congratulations!

Shari

Actually, the four numbers (1058) below the swoopy "Airstream" graphic on the tag indicate it was made in October 1958.
