Picked Her Up Today!

Home safely with our FC 27' FB Twin. Spent a few hours at the dealership doing walk thru with the service department and getting a few things in the Parts Department. We have so much to learn. Already realize that we're definitely going to need some checklists to help us with setup, take down, etc...

Are there any comprehensive checklists hidden away here on the site? We're so excited to get out on the road!

Read Richard Luhr book, "Newbies guide to Airstream", several checklists there.

A good place to start is with your Owners's Manual. Mine has several basic check list. Also the already mentioned Newbies Guide is an excellent quick read with more comprehensive list. It contains many little tips to help with the basics.

Howdy, LB!
Congrats again!

The "best" checklist is yours. It is possible to take the ASOM(Airstream Owners Manual), work through your AS multiple times. If you have help who can type, ask them to take notes as you carefully process through each sequence.

Most important now would be operation of each system. In the ASOM you will find water (fresh, waste, hot/cold/filtered/12VDC pump/external source), 12VDC supply, converter, battery maintenance, external electrical, etc )

Your own current and developing knowledge of these basic items will drive the depth of detail....here is where a "checklist" becomes personalized. If a step says "check tires" or "check converter, is that enough info for you to know the process "by heart/memory"? If so, all you need are simple listed items.

Now, this may prove interesting reading after you use the AS a few months. May even bring a chuckle or two.

Enjoy the journey!

Second the above advice. AS Manual & Newbie Guide read& repeat and don't leave home without them. Each experience you will learn new operations- we're new too!

Congratulations on your new Airstream & enjoy the adventure!
