permanent decal & paint stripping

I have decided to strip and polish my limited. however, there is a silver decal and a painted red strip around the entire bottom perimeter of the trailer. I have thought about masking it but i don't think it will work.(for stripping) If I chose to remove it will it devalue the trailer? or should I keep it original, or am I nuts.
this is my first airstream that I purchased two years ago.

any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Strip and replace

Easier to just strip it and put a new decal in its place.

A new stripe will be in order against that new finish.

You will be glad you did.
