Pedestal for dining table

I would like to replace our dining table and the support leg on our 2012 Flying Cloud 25. I have seen the pedestal centre post that you can raise and lower but cannot find a source. Could anyone help me for a supplier in Canada, preferably in the Hamilton, Ontario area. Thanks

table pedestal

If you want something a little more versatile than a standard pedestal that will lower for a bed, you may have to look farther away. The top in the photos was temporary to test the locking mechanism.

I purchased a pedestal from Europe. The only dealer I found willing to ship was in France. They are a rv parts company. It not only will lower, but will also slide to the side, forward/back, and rotate. The base is oval is shape.

Locked in cener positiion (handle locks the table top from sliding)

Top will slide to either side.

It will also slide forward and back. The handle on the top is the release for raising/lowering. You attach it to the bottom of your table top. I would recommend removing the cable retainer from the base and let the cable come straight out of the pedestal. The cable works easier if 'gentle' curves are used to keep it in place. The factory retainer puts a curve on the cable too close to the end of the cable.

And rotate

They currently have the round pedestal on sale. If you query them, they will quote shipping costs. For me it was 38 Euros. They ship through TNT Freight, which is owned by FedEx. I received mine in about 3 weeks.

This one from Italy is similar, the lock for height is the button on the base of the pedestal. Couldn't find a European dealer to ship to the US. It is available in Australia, but they won't ship to the US.

Here's a video of the Italian pedestal.

Are there any specific concerns when mounting it to the floor?
Extra support or concern about anything underneath the floor?

PM me with an email address and I’ll send you pix. I’m at my pix quota limit or the forum owners didn’t process my support payment last time and I don’t have time today to manage my photos. I used interesting hardware for the attachment. Works ok but I travel with the table down to avoid stress on the fasteners -Brad

Become a paying forum member and post as many pictures as you'd like.
It's well worth it for all the info gained.

I’ve paid since I joined and last time I paid, nothing happened. No pictures and no “supporting member” header. Not sure why but it became too much trouble to chase down.
