Our New Home - An "RV Port"

We just purchased a new home in southern New Mexico. It is called an RV Port. It has a 50 X 20 garage with full hook-ups, heated ad cooled and a home attached on two acres. We can't wait to ge Coco in the garage and move into the home. How convenient to have our fabulous trailer in our home ready to go whenever we are. Even better - we have parking for friends we meet on the road, or even freinds that just want to experience the beauty of southern New Mexico.

We are planning to be on the road for at least six months a year. We love company - let us know when you are around. Once we get settled - come on by!

Pictures???

I've never seen a set-up like that, I'd love to see a picture if you have any.

I like the way you stated that it's an RV Port with a home attached. You've got your head in the right place that's for sure!

All The Rage

Sounds great Pete!

RV parks in FL are pushing that kind of living arrangement and have been around for about 10 years. They offer you a small house with an 'RV Port' directly attached to it............and they show pictures of one withe 45' Prevost bus inside! Of course, you con't get the 2 acres here like you have

Great way to keep your baby ready for a quick departure and know that it's safe and warm (or cool as the case may be) right next to you with the opprotunity to work on it any time you like without having to retreive it from storage.

Here are the requested pics of the place. Don't have photos of the interior yet. The RV garage is finished with all hookups, including cable and wifi. Nothing fancy, but convenient and a great place to keep the trailer ready to go at a moments notice!

Pete:

That's a beautiful place, with the correct relationship of garage space to ground bound living area. Whoever designed it certainly had his head screwed on right. I love it! I'd be far more interested in photos of the garage interior than the living area interior, for which anything would suit me fine. But a garage ... now that's gotta be done right.

The garage is really nice - 20 X 50. Finished concrete floor, 3/4" drywall walls and ceiling, 1.5 ton ac/heat pump, double doors that lead to the living area of the house. The garage door is electric - 12 X 14. The guy who designed it had a good eye for what would work. He is also planning on putting in an RV park in Alamogordo.

Holy moly, looks like you could stack an Airsteam on top of a Prevost in that baby. How high is it? I like it!

The garage is 16' tall. When we looked at it, the builder had his Beaver Santium bus with all four slides out in it. Still plenty of room to walk around and store stuff. We plan to put our 34' in it and still will have plenty of room up front for washer/dreyer and a work shop.
