Question Old Trailer Shopping List

Does anyone make replacement clips for jalousie windows, or even replacement windows? My 1965 Caraval has a louvered window in the door and the clips holding the glass in are not in good shape and the glass is in danger of falling out. I was very fortunate not to have lost the class while bringing the trailer home. I would appreciate any advice you can offer. Should I try to fabricate the clip myself?

Thanks, Laurie

It may not be as common on the West Coast as it is here in the Midwest, but find a college town where older mobile home parks are common. There will usually be a repair shop that specializes in keeping these units habitable. I was able to find the glass retainer clips for the jalousie windows on my Overlander from just such a source in a nearby college community. The clips were quite reasonable priced at about $3.75 each (this was about three years ago).

I also believe that these may have been offered by Inland RV at the time as well -- they may continue to be a source.

Good luck with your search!

Kevin
