On the side of our '74 Overlander in blue plastic letters about 2" tall and 1.5" wide (each letter) is the word OHIO. OK, we are from Ohio, and to the best of our searching, all previous owners of our AS were from Ohio, too. I thought this to be just one of the PO's way of boasting about being from Ohio. Well, at a recent rally in Georgia (Springstream) I was approached about the OHIO on it and how it was familiar. We've only owned the trailer since Feb 2009 and GA was our first rally, so the previous experience wasn't us. I dismissed it as a weird coincidence until today. I was going down a rural road outside of Wooster, OH and I noticed a 70's 31'
Sovereign sitting behind a factory/warehouse (real good shape might I add) and it too has OHIO in blue letters on the side of it inside the blue "belt loop" around the trailer just like mine. There are no WBCCI numbers on the trailer and I'm not invasive enough to try to get a license plate search done to find the owner, but I'd like to know why s/he and I have this OHIO on the side of our trailer!!! Was this some special edition? Was this something that a certain chapter of the WBCCI from Ohio did back in the 70s? Anyone else have this on their trailer or know the reason behind it?
