Oasis RV Center in Tuscon, AZ
I know folks think highly of Oasis RV in Tuscon, but wanted to share my experience.
We had Richard replace our axles a year ago. After the work was done he told me that when they pulled the wheels he saw that we had significant brake wear and needed new drums, pads, and backing plates on all four wheels. His quote to do the work was pretty high.
This seemed a bit odd since we only had about 20K miles towing and with a diesel truck don't really use the brakes that much going down hill. Since we were planning a trip to JC for some other repairs I decided to wait and get a second opinion.
Our trailer is in for service at JC now and I asked them to do a brake inspection and check the work replacing our axles. I spoke to our tech about the brakes on Friday. He reported that the brakes were "like new", especially on one side. Why on one side? Because when Oasis did our axles they cut the brake wires and reattached them with wire nuts (which our tech said is the wrong way to do it) and the wires had come loose. We weren't even braking on one side!
So I just wanted to pass this on since a lot of folks on this forum use that service center.
