Newbie here!! Just traded in Class C Redhawk. Now proud owner of a 2019 25FB Twin Flying Cloud. The dealer ran the tv hookup cable thru the little cutout on the bottom of the propane tank cover. The same cutout that the emergency brake controller wires run thru. It seems too tight for both of them and would eventually cause wear or even cut into the cable!! Also, this puts the tv hookup cable coming out right above the emergency brake controller. Is this configuration correct? Seem that a better setup would be to run the hookup cable out the bottom of the propane cover on the outside of the frame. Thanks!!!

Your instinct is correct. I didn’t realize it until year two when the cutout of the propane cover had stripped some of the cover off the cable and caused sparks - next to the propane tanks of course....

My solution was to wrap the power jack cable in a thick nylon hose. A rubber grommet in the cut of the tank would be just as effective.

I also run the 7-pin under the a-frame.

My 2018 does not run through that hole. It runs through the bottom of the propane housing and outside (not through) the frame on the driver side.

Thanks... that is how I plan to route my 7 pin cable! Seems the best way to me. Added extra shielding to jack wires and routed 7 pin cable over A frame and out bottom of propane shroud.

If you traded in an RV you are not that much a "newbie". I've met some new AS owners that the trailer was their first RV. They, at first, didn't have a tow vehicle and would rent a truck to move it around.

If you traded in an RV you are not that much a "newbie". I've met some new AS owners that the trailer was their first RV. They, at first, didn't have a tow vehicle and would rent a truck to move it around.

OK.. I am a "newbie" to Airstream. After all, this is an Airstream forum, not an RV forum!

Here’s a couple pics of what I did. The cable for the jack power seems like it has to come out from under the propane cover so that’s wrapped in a thick nylon hose (rubber grommet in the cover would have worked too). Then the 7-pin comes out under the bottom of the LP cover.
