Need Advice On 1st time purchase

I am a single mother of two boys, ages 3 & 5. We have travelled extensively in a 37 ft motorhome the last few years. However, in trying to simplify our lives, I am now looking at purchasing an Airstream. I am interested in the 25 ft range, newer models, probably the International line. I have no experience in Airstreams, and would appreciate any valuable feedback. Is solar worth it?? Hooking up and unhooking the trailer on my own? Is 25 ft too small with active boys?? Am looking to purchase in the next few weeks and do not want to make a mistake...
Thank you in advance.

You need to see what works best for you. Having the motorhome experience is a definite advantage. You should go to your local Airstream dealer, RV show with Airstreams, or attend a local WBCCI unit Rally to let you and your boys find out what layout gives you the best sleeping accommodations. Hooking up a trailer is no big thing but you do need to lift the hitch to put it in the truck. A Reese hitch weighs about 40 lb when you slide it into the receiver. You do have to have someone watch you (or a backup camera) to get the ball under the connector on the trailer. i can do it myself but I have to get out of the truck at least twice to see how I am coming. Putting the bars and chains up is no big deal. The rest of the operations are no different than a motorhome. The value of solar is dependent on how much you boon dock.
