Need Advice!!

Fellow Streamers:

I have decided to downsize from my 30' Classic to a 19' Bambi SE, as I find my not being able to stay at many of the State Parks in California due to the size of my trailer and truck.

I have found a 2008 19' Bambi SE, in fairly good shape with no delamination on the roof panels, some corrosion around the front panels behind the rock guards, rusty steps and could just use a good cleaning.

The Dealer is asking a out the door price around $35K, which includes a cleaning and PDI. It sounds like a pretty good deal, but I thought I would bounce it off this forum.

I haven't watched the price of used Airstreams at all, we bought a new 2007 SE 20 in 2009 that had been in dealer inventory for two years for $37,000 cash, no trade. After two years traded for our 2012 FC 25 because it was too small.

You might take a look at a 20 foot FC. The layout is different than the 19 foot FC Bambi and there is a lot more kitchen to work with.

Are you going to keep the 30'? Or sell it and just have the smaller trailer?

Going from a 30' to 19' seems like a pretty drastic change.

The price for the Bambi sounds a bit on the high side based on my experience, which I admit is limited.

I sold the 30' last year, I have been trying to determine the perfect dimensions for my needs, given I could never go into most state parks in California, since I am a weekend and holiday camper, all of the sites that would fit my trailer were gone or always book. I looked at the 20' and the dining table bed is to small, I have a 6'8 son and need the width in the front, which he fits perfectly in the front 19' dining bed. I want a single axle as well, I have a ball leveler that works perfect and I absolutely hated trying to level my double axle.
