Mystery Airstream

Hello we recently acquired an Airstream and are trying to figure out what year it was made and the model name. On the tongue is printed MC683 and 2823931. Under a patent search it comes up for a ball and hitch filed in 1955. Does anyone know where else we could find useful information on the trailer or what kind it is? Thank you folks.

Normally there is an exterior tag with the VIN number printed on it. The location would be on the exterior to the right of the door. Also, your end cap shows 5 panels. In 1964 Airstream went from 7 panel end caps to 5. It could be an Ambassador. Good luck

Hi and welcome to the Forums. I'm going to throw my hat in the ring and say it's a '66-'68 Ambassador. A pic of the front inner end cap would clinch it. I'm just in Green Mtn. in Lakewood and would be happy to come look at it. I'll send you a PM.

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. In addition to what the others have told you, you might want to research the faded WBCCI Number on the trailer. This could give you some further information about the old Girl's history. The number appears to be 10398.

Hi thanks to everybody for the support. With Marks help (thank you) we now believe it to be a 1967 Sovereign. Our next step is looking for a place to park it while we attempt to renovate it or if possible to sell it.

Before you sink a lot of money and effort into it, make sure you get a title for it.
