My Sad Story!!
My Sad Story!
I bought a 2006 23' SE Safari, ready to roll! I try to hook up with a gang to Mexico, I come down with a cold! Can't go.
Then, I plan a trip to Mount Charleston, outside of Los Vegas for two days, and the day before I leave, I get an appendicitis! The day before!
Now I have been out of action for six weeks (Now on a wound vac, feels like I am on a leash, last night, I was wondering what a milk bone would taste like), all I can do is hobble out to my baby and sit in it! Playing Jimmy Buffett dreaming of RVing....
I got all the camping books, got Trailer Life, I think I have memorized every episode of Bonanza and Star
Trek....going out tonight to put on my Airs Forum sticker ...
restless in Yucca Valley,
Will I ever use my baby?
Who Knows?
Hey I turned 47 Yesterday!

Congratulations on your new Safari. What bad timing, sorry to hear it. However now that you got all that out of the way when you do head out you will enjoy it that much more. Anticipation that's the ticket. I heard that p laying Jimmy Buffett and dreaming of RVing is a very good medicinal measure to insure a fast recooperation. Keep us posted on your maiden voyage and put up pictures whenever you can!

Hart,
First things first, Milk bones aren't too bad. Crunchy. Strangely satisfying. And they freshen your breath and remove tartar at the same time. At least that's what I've heard.......
To cheer you up, I recommend the following: Go out to your camper, apply your Airstream Forums sticker as planned, and get a copy of "The World News Weekly." Great reading material. I read an article just yesterday about a new breed of "Pit Hampsters" that are the latest trend in aggressive pets.
Happy birthday and hope you're feeling better soon.

Whoa- Hart!
All this time we were thinkin' you just chickened out on the Baja rally!!
Maybe when you're over the latest malody we can do a trip to California Hot Springs some weekend!?
On second thought- this trailer plague isn't contagious is it???

Happy Birthday and get well soon!
Bummer about missed chances to camp, better to get that appendicitis over with while near homebase/a hospital eh?
Good luck! You have lots to look forward to!

Dang! Appendicitis at 47! I always thought that was a kid's thing.
Hope you get better, Hart.

Well at least you've got your tunes right! With JB on the box how could you be in a bad mood long? I know what kind of liquid diet I'd be on....how 'bout you?
