More water inside but now a different area
Hi all, I am new to the forums and have only posted one other time in regard to water in belly pan in the rear. I have still not pin pointed where the water is coming from in the rear and have now discovered water inside the front door on the right hand side, seems I really should have had someone who knows about airstreams before I made the purchase but i guess that's neither here nor there at this point. Can anyone give me some hints on where the water might be coming from? I have checked over the door, porch light, belt line etc and all the chalking looks good so I'm puzzled. Because it's still rainy season here in California rather then try to chalk I have used some plain foil tape around a couple of places on the opposite side of the trailer on top of the beltline molding which actually doesn't look bad as a stop measure gap until the weather is nicer before I start re-chalking. Also I have a question about the rub rail insert, I need to replace the small portion on the door which I have already received, after I pull off the old piece can anyone tell me what I can use to clean off the old 3m adhesive before I install the new piece? Denatured alcohol? I do not want to damage the aluminum so I am hesitant to use paint thinner etc., I want to make sure all the glue is off before I install the new strip, it just adheres with 3m tape.
Thank you to anyone that can assist and thank you to the people who responded to my request for help on the water under rear belly pan. It appears the water is coming in from where the rear bumper and the belt line meet. I plan to put a piece of flex tape in this area for the time being to stop any more water from entering in this area.
