latest design concepts

I'm completely astonished that, after 75 years of building an aluminum product that, Airstream hasn't advance the state of art beyond the use of rivets~!! These things are, after all, the pivot of all water problems associated with A/S product~! The state of art in building an aluminum skinned RV has now been designed, built and, is currently under going field test in the world's harshest enviroment with awesome results~Not one single failure~!!
I submit for your enjoyment & edification~:

Bonding aluminum

Actually, homebuilt light airplanes and gliders have been built for some time with aluminum skins bonded to aluminum ribs. About 10 years ago, I attended the homebuilt glider get-together and saw a demonstration of skinning an aluminum wing.

Trouble is, once together, always together. Pretty hard to replace a panel once it is bonded in place.

Yeah, I know the post was tongue in cheek.
