Just finished two small project on our 22' CCD

Greetings,

For those of you interested in the 22' CCD, I just finished two projects that merit mentioning.

1) The entertainment package comes with a flat screen TV that requires 110V hookup (even though the TV has a 12V power input, Sharp does not provide a 12V adapter - must be complicated...). Anyway, I found out that the TV draws 86 watts of juice so I ran a 12V line to where A/S ran the TV's AC plug. That way I can connect a very small inverter (mine is 300 watts and it tested out just fine) and run the TV off of AC while boondocking. I connected the other end of the 12V jack to the DC connector for the subwoofer on the other side of the wall. Whallah. Done. I attach a pic.

2) If you look at the floorplan of the 22' CCD, you will see a hamper on one end of the bed and nothing on the other end. Well, there is nothing there but air - all the way to the floor. Now I couldn't imagine leaving it like that but A/S found it perfectly acceptable. What, praytell, is to keep the doggie or cat from falling in there? Nothing! So I filled mine in. I attach a pic.

Enjoy!

KIMILI,

Thanks. You can access the space from below. There are cutouts on the lower bed frame...

Hey! We don't camp in NM, we go elsewhere you nut!

Never know when you might need a TV. I remember camping when I was a kid and we watched the first moon walk from our trailer on a 12V TV setup. Will never forget it.
