It happened!

A few months ago I posted a sad tale about my trip to Northern California to not purchase an Airstream TT. This post is to tell of a great trip to New Mexico where I did purchase my first Airstream. I had set my travel limit at 500 miles this time (last trip was 900 miles). I was contacted by a forum regular who was selling his "newer" trailer, a 1975 Trade Wind. We talked, exchanged pictures and came to an agreement. Things could not have gone better. I made the trip to Navajo Dam, NM which is just under 500 miles, met with the owner and closed the deal. Everyone loves pictures, so here goes!

These shots are from the campground at Abe's Motel and Fly shop in Navajo Dam:

The San Juan

No way could I resist a day of flyfishing since I was on one of the best trout rivers in the west. The afternoon hatch was great and I landed more then a few on BWO #20.

Trouble ahead

It looks like the weather is about to change. This shot is just north of the Verde Valley on I17

Welcome to the wonderful world of Airstream. My first was a 75 Tradewind and I still am in touch with the current owner.

Home safe and sound

The final shot is at my house. The trailer pulled great with my 4.7 V8 Tundra and the Prodigy break system once setup was perfect. Now that I am an Airstream owner, I hope to be meeting more forum members in the near future!

Photo technique

You've also discoverd "Airstream Photography!" Clever self portrait in the very first picture. All one needs is a camera and SHINY AS. Congratulations on acquiring this beauty.

az, are you the flycaster that I have encountered on line playing hold-um?

(my site name is either "Iver" or "Hodari" and it could have been on "Poker School" or "Empire")
