Hi! I'm actually restoring 3 vintage airstreams/silver streaks for our glamping business -
www.tobaccoriverranch.com (you can see them all there!) But the '51 Clipper has me stumped. First, the interior was painted a marvelous army green....it's in pretty good condition, but also definitely needs some touch ups. Our local hardware store has been unsuccessful in getting close to a match. (even with an oil based, etc...) Has anyone found a paint match? (I assume this is original because it's in every cupboard, closet, etc.) The next question - I didn't want to polish the metal in the kitchen to be shiny, just wanted to restore it - lots of scratches and/or water stains/stains? But I've tried a million products and nothing seems to change/improve the appearance. Anyone have luck on polishing without going full shiny?
thank you!!!
