I love my airstream!!!!!

Just went out and bought a Portable Satellite dish and took one of my recievers from my homr to try it out.... and everything works fine!!! Going to Arkansas for a week and I love having satellitle in my Stream. Wanna know why? My wife has something to do while my son and I fish and go exploring. She is gonna work on his baby book,,,He's 16 BTW.

This will be our longest journey yet. Can't wait. 6 days. The weather is gonna be great.

Do I need a fishing license there for a state park? Here in Texas if you stay in a state park, you are covered.

Shane

Congrats on the new satellite set up...you will enjoy that as much as your wife does, trust me.

Don't know about the Arkansas fishing license question...but glad to hear you are loving your new Airstream. We knew you would. What's not to like??

And like your enthusiasm, too...

Enjoy your trip and many happy trails...

Buy a fishing license, it is much cheaper than the satellite dish. Plus it helps the fish and game dept do good things to keep the fish and game in the local area.
PS if your wife need entertainment, there is always books, puzzles and games. And then again you could get her a fishing pole. She may learn to like it, fishing that is.

Don't make these guys choose between one and the other.
I'm sure you've heard the catch phrase, "Give up my wife, yes, my dog, maybe, my Airstream--Never!"

or something like that...

Nope, no cheep shot....just getting the priorities in order....

Wife, 40yrs,

Airstream, 23yrs.

Praising my Wife every day vastly improves our relationship.

How does that apply to the Airstream?

Will Stream'n improve if if I speak glowingly of all things Silver?

What we DO with Cloudsplitter is much more important than how I feel about Airstream the Trailer.

If we didn't enjoy the "Airstream Experience" we would have gotten rid of it a long time ago.

A couple of years ago Directv had an "emergency response kit" for $75 or so. It included a very sturdy tri-pod, 50' of coax cable, a small compass, and a dish. The DVD that came with it showed it being used at a house and with a motor home. The narrator said that the customer could take their home Directv receiver box from home on camping trips. Soooo, they don't mind. The kits aren't always available on their web site, but it does show up from time to time. We use ours on most camping trips. I did purchase a very inexpensive signal finder and can have everything set up in a matter of minutes.

I think you have to get a license in arkansas. You also need a seperate trout stamp if your trout fishing. You can get it all online and print it. If you ever want to take your son on a guided Fly trip the best guide ever is at Mammoth spring in Arkansas. Home My son and I went last summer and had a great time. The guide is great!
