We have camped with the scouts before and it was nothing like what i experienced last night. One child I felt so sorry for, I had sent a list home to the parents to list medications that had to be given this one child is on so many meds it's unreal (heavy meds) what has this world come to with so much drugs for children. The dad told my husband he knows how to take his meds but if he misses it in the morning (you will know)

Yeah, one of my Cubs was on Ritalin. Both parents were doctors.

One day his nanny filled him up with Kool-aid and sent him to my house without his meds.

We had to peel him off the ceiling with a spatula.

I had a handful of those cubs too. My rule was if the scout could not behave to a reasonable standard during the meetings that the parents had to be there to control them. Funny thing was on a couple of them, they were better behaved for me and my co-leaders than they were for the parents (and I will stay off my soapbox about medication of children)

So I need all the prayers that the Airstream will survive the trip Or should I say I survive.
It's only one night what could happen?
I just made a reservation and found out there is also a Jack Russell Terrier show going on.
Okay so 150 Jack Russells and 6 boys.
One thing for sure is you'll make some wonderful memories for those 6 little boys. What a fine, thoughtful husband you have. Be sure to be thankful for him.

Memories????? Chuckle

I finished reading the whole thread and sure enjoyed it. Well, I was right that you would make some memories all right, but what memories!

When my kids were small I used to take groups of their friends camping with us. Tents are for kids! They love it, they love to sleep in sleeping bags and "rough it." The AS provided the kitchen to feed them -- outside! And the parks provided them the showers and bathrooms. Don't give up on the little brats, they need you and someday they'll look back and remember the trips just like I remember giving my RA teacher forty kinds of hell. Why in the world did he put up with it? I'm lucky he didn't drown me!
