Yikes! Don't like that track. I have a lot of friends that live between Lafayette and Houston.

Utility I work for has an agreement with power company in Lafayette for storm recovery.

Yes, I have no close neighbors. Anyone who wants to come just head on up. If you want to call - 318-469-1548. If you don't reach me feel welcome anyway. Hook up to the water whatever you need.

What is UP

What is wrong with this picture?????

No where to run - have to head NORTH and soon. I'm more afraid of Hannah than Mr. G. Oh well, hurricane season in full swing.

See you on the road - I'll make my choice by noon Saturday.

I think if I lived in that red zone,I`d run like H$LL,I`m worried about Hannah, don`t know where it`s going or how strong it will be.I`m planning on going north to Ohio on Wed. I can`t decide on I-75 or I-95 & I-77,Just reported on weather channel Hannah may come our way here in Naples, just wait and see.Good luck to all in Gustav`s path.Dave

Anyone trying to dodge the storms, let me know - we may be able to help, if Hamilton, GA makes sense (near Columbus).

Thanks everyone for the offers. Looks like Gustav is headed west of us, but, you never know for sure. We're staying, we stayed for Katrina. Our home, about 1 1/2 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and had roof damage after Katrina. I own an automobile dealership that's about 6 miles inland. We'll park the AS insde the shop and stay in the building. We have a lot family here....so have to go and help now. Good luck to everyone, especially those in Louisiana.

It's been raining and blowing here off and on for most of the day. It is supposed to pass well West of us, but I heard that song before with another hurricane. Some of you may recall it, it was called Charlie.
I'm considering retracting the awnings, and hooking the truck to the trailer. I can always unhitch again after it passes us, and if it suddenly veers toward us, I can be out of here in less than an hour. I really don't think this will happen, as almost all computer models and predictions show it really will go far West of us, but it will only take about 15 minutes to do these few things.

Storms

That is what really sucks about these kind of storms. There is that chance they could change course. You can even hear it on the weather channel saying if the high pressure were to change it could move slightly east and it wont take that much to start feeling the strong winds where we are at.
They are looking at Hannah that way right now and it depends on what the high pressure is doing.Who knows...It could cruise across like Andrew did or it could just crawl its way up the whole east coast.I just know I am prepared just in case.

If it does turn this way, I'll just tow Bertha over to work. We have an open field, not trees in the field, but surrounded by them. I have about 50 Nissan Armadas I can park in a ring around the trailer to block the wind.
