Hurray for Airstream

We picked up our new 2010 FC23FB in Irvine Ca on April 1st. In late May we made a trip to Ohio and stopped at the Airstream factory unannounced for some minor warranty work.
The adequate campground was free, but we didn't need it for long. We got there in the evening and by the following afternoon had our questions answered, and a few very minor defects fixed.
We found everyone at AS polite, friendly, and helpful, and enjoyed the factory tour very much.
When asked why we did not make an appointment I explained that their phone system runaround was very annoying and I gave up after two days of not being able to talk to a person. The reps sheepish grin made it clear he knew what I was talking about. They need to fix that problem to rate five stars instead of four in my book. BTW, they returned my call, from a week earlier, two days after I left their factory.
I think we "jumped the line" because our trailer is brand new. I suggest getting an appointment if you have an older trailer needing work. A few people in the park who had been there several days, and had a few more waiting for service back this statement up.
Thanks Airstream, we made the right choice.

On the other hand I called JC on MAY 25th and spoke to Chris Burch about two pretty major accessories. He promised to call me with a price “tomorrow” and never did.
