HOTC Tragedy

I get this from our Airstream Group President just a few minutes ago.....I am speechless.....but armed.
:"I am shocked and saddened to have to report to the club that members of our HOTC family have been murdered over the weekend.

Cindy Johnson is alive and reportedly managed to escape with minor injuries and call 911, but her husband Carl, their daughter Hannah, Hannah's son Kade and her boyfriend and 2 unnamed children were all murdered, apparently by a man the Anderson County Sheriff has in custody. They were camping on property recently purchased by Hannah and her boyfriend near Palestine, TX and the suspect owns an adjacent property.

I cannot imagine how devastated Cindy must be. One news report I found from their old hometown in Maine said that her son is traveling here from Maine to be with her. I have no other information besides what is contained in the article below.

Perhaps this article today may change a few opinions. Would the outcome have been different if the campers could have defended themselves? My prayers go out to the victims and their families.

I had just read about this on a news page.

How awful.

I'm going to keep my mouth shut other than to say with utmost sincerity...

May they rest in peace.

Not so cheers

Terrible news. Sickening. Just like the others above, I'm lost for words.

May the victims be resting in peace and their souls dancing together on the other side.

No words

I remember admiring how close they were as a family with parents, daughter and grandson coming to our campouts. They always had a smile for everyone and will be sorely missed from our group.

That many here personally knew these victims makes it all the more horrible.

It just makes me sick.
