High Sky Rv parts

Hello, i am looking to purchase most of the AS appliances from High Sky Rv parts (https://highskyrvparts.com/). Has anyone purchased anything from there? is it a trustworthy retailer? I cant find many reviews on google etc.

Thank you,

Rafaela

There are a couple threads mentioning sky-high and some reliability issues and unmet expectations unless I am confused with some other supplier. I had good luck with the items I've bought and the issues seem to not be recent as it seems to have improved. You may want to search the forum for the other comments and judge from them.

Maybe try googling "AirForums High Sky Airstream Part" and several threads should come up.

Yes! Just took delivery of a Furrion cooktop, Contoure convection/micro, trim kit, new OEM wheels, and some miscellaneous parts from HighSky. Prices were good and all products delivered quickly and correctly. Shipping cost was a little higher than others but the prices a bit lower.

I've ordered quite a few parts from them for my restoration... (lots of panels, the pieces to rebuild the windows, window sash, etc.) and so far they have been great.

My only gripe is the shipping times. Then again most of the parts I ordered had to come straight from Airstream who have been behind on orders.

Only issue I had was shipping costs. They wanted $80 to ship a rafter arm for our awning, more than the cost of the part. Went straight to ZipDee instead and they shipped for less than half of that with same price on the part.

I have bought a number of replacement cabinet hinges from High Sky, and they seem to be a pretty good company. As a previous comment noted, sometimes High Sky’s shipping costs can be a bit high, especially for small items. They wanted $25 to ship me $10 worth of rubber stove parts.

You might also try Woodland Airstream woodlandairstream.com, which I also like. You can email them at parts@woodlandairstream.com.

Hi,

I always found Woodland to be a good source for parts. The people are super. They even had rivets when airstream was lagging behind on packaging them in their store. Shop around at all the online sites. Prices and shipping differ, sometimes tremendously.

This unknown little part I found here.

I once spoke to a customer service person at high sky- they are located in Switzerland and the part I was looking at did not have enough details- the service person acknowledged that was an ongoing issue for them. They seemed reliable enough but I wouldn’t order something from them that you are not absolutely sure is the exact part you need. Hope that helps!

Thumbs up Happy with Out of Doors Mart

I was about to order about $700 worth of parts when my Visa card wouldn't process it because their bank is in Switzerland. My Visa required an authorization code and SkyHigh didn't know what they needed. They had a lot of what I needed on their site that I couldn't find elsewhere.
I decided to call airstream in OH and they said Sky High wasn't an authorized dealer and recommended Out Of Doors Mart (OOD). Airstream told me Out of Doors could order parts that they didn't have on their site. I called OOD parts dept and they were able to order what I needed for a fourth of the cost including shipping. Wow, it arrived less than a week later and was exactly what I needed. I'm about to order more from them.

The company has changed titles, names and locations on several occasions customer service has been hit and miss with some people being extremely satisfied and other people being fed up. Are they really shipping parts from Switzerland highly doubt it.

They seem to be working really hard to change their image, but considering where they started, I can't believe they didn't change their name and start over. If you search these forums you will read about a LOT of problems in the past.

Out of Doors Mart is a quality business and are consistently one of Airstreams largest parts dealers.

I've had poor success with HighSky. I ordered an extrusion for a '68 window, and got a '66. It took forever and my e-mails back and forth and phone calls have led me nowhere. Cynthia has been my contact there, and I'm not sure what her deal is, but it is very unsatisfactory.

No good

No customer service, they fail to respond to any inquiries. Save your frustration and shop elsewhere.

I've had mixed results. Then I learned to check first to see if the part I needed was in THEIR warehouse if it was something that they were having sent directly from the manufacturer, usually Airstream.

The stuff in their warehouse usually arrives quickly - the stuff that is being drop shipped can take a few weeks. The stuff coming from Airstream you can do better by ordering direct, if possible.

They are owned by a European company, but my understanding is that they have a US warehouse for parts shipped to the US.

All that said, Out Of Doors Mart is my go-to place.
