Have you ever done this??
Tonight we stay in the Motorhome, parked next to the house, with the AC on. The Motorhome saved my bacon. While doing a woodworking project I noticed my home AC Condenser fan was making a weird bad bearing noise. As I was getting ready to check on it the fan froze up. Shut down the home AC and checked the motor. It was red hot. I will get a new motor from grainger tommrow, 40 bucks and no service call fee from an AC repair man, and no staying in a motel. When I first bought the house we are in we stayed in the trailer for 2 weeks while we got the house redone. Any one else had to do something like this??

Even Worse Critical Use!
Last year we had massive flooding in our area. The pressure in the storm sewers overflowed into the sanitary (unsanitary) lines.
This caused my basement floor drains and downstairs toilet to turn into geysers!!
Using any toilet in the house was OUT OF THE QUESTION!!
My little Caravel became the "out house" for the whole family for a couple of days during the clean up.
Was glad to have a stable comode (in a silver linning) to retreat from the insanity to!
Never thought the A/S bathroom would become so popular!

Home is where the A/C is
We just did that 2 days ago. In my case it was the A/C blower motor making a racket and putting out cool looking sparks.
I saved at least half a door lock replacing the motor myself.

must be an epidemic- our a/c blower fan broke when it was 90 degrees, the airstream in the driveway was a cool, comfy spot to watch the tv and sleep that night.
I fixed the blower fan the next day. It had come loose and slipped off its shaft enough to jam up. Love that airstream motel.
Cheaper than motel 6.

Gonna have to use the Tradewind for a few days as a home - we found termites in our attic. So we're going to camp out in the trailer while they poison the house. Can't wait!

Well went dry...
Our well went dry a couple of weeks ago. We used the Airstream to take showers, other things until we got some temporary water tanks hooked up until the new well was drilled. We own a farm market across the street from our house and it has a 30 amp RV outlet and water.

I'm proud to say that Brett fixed the home A/C last night by replacing the fan motor. By doing it himself, he saved us at least enough to buy the other half of Peter's lock.
Better yet, I think he saved us enough to paint at least one linear foot of the motorhome!

Mystic Seven Curse?
Has anyone noticed that 3 of the Mystic Seven have experienced home A/C failure?
What's that about?

That sounds very MYSTICAL to me. I have moved since then. Maybe I should check with the new owner of my old house . Maybe something happened Friday night? I arrived Saturday and haven't had any problems.
Since my RV is at the storage center, I hope that doesn't happen to me! Of course we almost stayed in the RV in between the closing of one home and the closing of the other.
