Have questions - converter

Does the converter in a 1985 sovereign cook the batteries
Need help troubleshooting Magic Chef oven 1985

Yes, the converter from the mid 80's is a battery cooker. But I am still using them in both my late 80's trailers. Have learned how to live with it.

the oven

Are you sure that you have propane in the tank? Is the valve on the tank open?
After turning on the burner knob on , do you hear air coming out? Do you smell propane yet?

Oven

Yes plenty of propane. I did not provide enough to info in my original post
The oven looks like new,has not been used but very little. The pilot lights and burns great. When the thermostat is set on a temp. The secondary pilot never comes on (30 min). Thanks for responding
