Happy Veteran's Day
I know a lot of Airstreamers are connected to the Armed Forces in some way or another.
My father is retired from the Army, my brother also served, and I now have a nephew in the Navy.
Thanks to all of you who make this country such a great place to camp in.
Andy

I second that!
To my father, 86 years old, Lt. Col. USAF Ret. WWII B17 pilot/POW.....and the rest of you veterans...thank you. We are forever indebted to you for your sacrifice!

A great country
Just remember all those that are out there fighting for our freedom - and our great country that we have, and our freedoms. We are fighting terrorism there, overseas, taking it to them, to ensure that we don't have to fight it here.
America the beuatiful! I'm proud to serve and a VERY proud AMERICAN.

A very grateful "Thankyou!!!" to all of our Airstream family Vets out there. We all owe you a debt we can only repay by being faithful to our wonderful country and never forgetting the sacrifices of our servicemen and women. Jamie

A big salute to all veterans out there that served for our great nation! Without their commitment and sacrifices, we would not have the freedoms so many of us enjoy today.
Another big salute to all those currently serving to keep our freedoms in place for us today, and our children tomorrow.

We cannot say thank you enough to those who serve.
While cleaning out my Aunt's house after she passed away I found burial flags for my grandfather, who served in WWI in France, and my great uncle. I also found great-uncle Doland's photo album with pictures of his unit serving in the S. Pacific during WWII. Tan young men playing on the beach, showing off coconuts, pictures of the pretty girls, and pictures of their planes and airstrip, and a HUGE shot up ship run aground. Then pictures of Doland back home in the the hospital, and newspaper articles about his being wounded and sent home. He recovered and passed away in 69, shortly before I was born, and all the time I was growing up I'd never seen these things, though I'd heard many stories about him. It was amazing. I passed them on to my cousin, who's three boys are in the Marines, two in Iraq right now, one ready to go.
Lets hope they all come home safe!
