Does every one out there know that Thanksgiving is the only holiday celebrated here that is uniquely new world American. Other countries celebrate Christmas, New Years, Easter, some form of independence day, Veterans day, Valentines day, St. Patrick's day.

New world American would include Canada who also celebrates Thanksgiving, but on an earlier date in October to coincide with an earlier harvest for our good Canadian neighbors.

How about it Canada, is this true or set me straight on it?

Nonetheless, it's a blessed holiday for us all and Cheryl and I wish all a Happy Thanksgiving!

It seems that the details of the real first American Thanksgiving are somewhat shrouded in mystery, but from what I remember from grade schoole history lessons, the first Thanksgiving was a feast put on by the Pilgrims to thank God for all His blessings, and to thank the friendly Indians for teaching them how to grow crops and how to hunt.

So, in that spirit, I would like to thank all of you for all the things you have taught me during the past several months, and basically, for putting up with me.

Happy Thanksgiving, Airstreamers.
