GMC Sierra 2500 - Tire Preference?

GMC 2500 Denali Duramax - Looking for recommendations on best tires (20") for towing. We believe it comes with Goodyear Wranglers, but wondering if Michelin LTX is optimal.

Hi

If the tires need replacing, go for the Michelins. I would not toss out brand new tires to do that, unless you can get the dealer to swap them.

I have the Chevy Silverado version of this truck and when I was ready for my first tire change I went with the Michelins. I noticed an immediate improvement in the feel of the drive over the Goodyears. Both are fine tires but I am very happy with the Michelins. Good luck!

My 2015 Silverado 2500 has the 18" wheels with the Michelins. I have 26,000 miles on the tires and they are still like new. When replacement is needed I will go back with Michelins again.

My previous GM 2500's came with the Goodyear tires. They are good tires but I prefer the Michelins.

I have a 2006 2500 HD and after wearing out the original GY's I switched to Michelin tires. I'm now on my second set of Michelins and have had zero problems. Nice ride and very quite. I have Discount Tire balance and rotate as scheduled.

Michelins or Cooper AT 3 would be my choices.

Have had good luck with the Michelin LTX. Recently switched to 20inch Toyo A/T. Very happy with them And a good looking tire to boot.

I have 17 inch rims on my 2008 Duramax. I have stuck with Bridgestone. My last set had 64,000 on them.

Michelin LTX. I'm on my second set of them. 130K on a GMC Duramax 4x4 crew cab.

I have the 2015 Silverado version of your truck. I recently changed from the Goodyear to the Michelin LT tires. The Michelin is a softer riding tire. Fuel economy seems similar. Handling is also softer, not as agressive.

I switched to 20" Michelin "Premier" for better stopping in wet conditions...very happy.

My boss has a 2015 Chevrolet High Country Duramax/Alison HD2500 with 20" Goodyear Wranglers.
He is happy with the tires, but knowing him will likely get Michelin or Bridgestone when the time comes for new tires. He tows a large horse trailer.
I just got new Michelin 20" Premier LTX on my Tundra. Not sure of this was the right thing to do. Possibly should have gotten the Defender LTX. Hoping the Premiers will be OK towing the Airstream- at least as good as the OE Bridgestone.
