Found our first
We were looking and looking for our first airstream. We traveled out of state looking. We finally found what we were looking for an hour away. A 1966 Safari twin. It's in almost original condition. Still has original clear coat-in good condition. Same folks owned it for 35 years and took excellent care of it. They were the second owners. We are looking forward to picking it up tommorrow and maybe spend the night in it, even if it's just in the driveway at home. It does have a single axle and rear bath, but we'll force ourselves to live with it. It is cute as a button. We hope anyone else whose looking and not finding what they want, do not give up just take your time and it might just be right under your nose. Just like ours was.

welcome fellow Ohioan
Larry and I have a '78 Argosy 6.7 metre Minuet. We inherited ours from my folks and so we knew its history. We are having fun updating it and getting it back on the road camping again.
We are glad to hear that you found just what you wanted. We live in OH and not too far away. Your first campout should be a safe one, taken not too far from home for a shakedown cruise. We have courtesy parking and if you want to cruise in for a campout in our driveway we would love to see your new "baby".

Way to go!
Great!
It is so exciting to find just the right Airstream! I know just how you feel! Was so excited when we found ours! Good luck and go camping right away! Be sure and take in an Airstream rally... check the rally calendar and find one near you. They are great fun and the folks are GREAT!
Post pictures. We want to see lots of pictures!

Brought Our First Baby Home Today
We truly would like to thank everyone for the words of congratulations and welcome.
We are pulling up some really not to pretty 30 years old carpet(gold-yuk), only to find the original tile floor is really decent shape.
We are going to sleep in it tonight-in the driveway. See what the dogs think of it and hope our big dog doesn't chew on any of the lovely wood. We could get lucky-we're taking her a bone to sleep with.
Thanks again everyone.
