Found neglected Airstream

Hi all. I’m new to the forum, but am aware of the appeal of Airstream trailers. I have stumbled upon a very neglected Airstream trailer that is being used for storage in the woods. I am considering pursuing acquiring it from the owner, but wanted to see if I could get some insight from people here. It is about 20’ long, dual axle, and needs a full restoration. I was wondering if I post a few pics, if some are able to narrow down the possible model year. I look forward to any insight anyone can provide. Thanks in advance. Rob

My guess would be a late 50s Tradewind. The Airstream emblem font looks like 50s. The tail lights look like Trail Lite 99s. If you could get a good picture of the small plate to the right side of the door, that would give the serial number which would ID the make, model and production sequence. Good luck

The double axle is confusing for a trailer of that length of the latter 50s. 66Overlander, what’s your thoughts?

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Everything you said makes sense with my brief research online. I walked off the length as an estimate and came up with ~20’ not counting the hitch. I had some large boots on, so it may be slightly over 20’. As for the age, I was estimating similar, but have had difficulty finding the same taillight configuration. I did also see; however, that the number on the front above the window is “8” (the red number is faded pink). I was just reading about these numbers and am surprised that it is such a low number.
