Forums Members' Current ebay Auctions
I was thinking it would be cool if there were a thread to direct people to Ebay Auctions listed by forum Members.
This way we would all have a shot at getting a great deal from a trusted Airsteam Forum member!
Airstream parts and all other auctions too!
Put a link to the auction in the thread!

This is a cool thread!
Links to ebay auctions go dark after about 30 days so I think the mods will periodically delete posts with ebay links that are old. You can always repost if you relist your baby on ebay.
Way to go Richard - good idea for a thread.

345 Sealy mattress
Streamers,
I have just listed for sale on e-bay a Sealy Perfect Rest Firm mattress for the 345 side queen. It is auction # 110305259805. The mattress is used but is in like-new condition. It's just a little too firm for my wife.
Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob-
Could you give me the rough size of the mattress. I guess the length and width if it were rectangular. I can figure out from there. Thanks!

The measurements of the mattress are 53" wide, and 74" long.

Grant, Is the awning a Carefree or ZipDee and what is the condition and length. I know someone who may be interested. Ed

I don't necessarily see a need for this as any member can sell AS related items in the classifieds. To many people selling through the forums is more like a deal between friends. Selling on ebay is anything goes. Often much higher than on the forums. I'm not saying one choice is better, or more ethical. I do both depending on the circumstances. You can always list something on ebay if it does not sell on the forums. I have also worked out some pretty interesting swaps on the forums clalssifieds, which you can't do on ebay

I think it would be interesting to know when people are selling full, intact airstreams. The classifieds does seem like a very separate locaton from the forums. In fact today was the first time I looked at the classifieds after 2 years of using airforums. I would exclude people from mentioning parts-- knowing the going market rate of a used blackwater tank, while interesting, isn't something I want to read about every day.

1cericks1, If you finally looked at the Classified section today perhaps you over looked the fact that there are several sections that list trailers, motorhomes, parts for sale, and parts wanted. In addition to those lists they also have provided for folks who have (SOB) other brands of trailers so that they too can trade/sell parts and whole trailers. As far as the postings go, if you find something that is not to your liking or that you find personally offensive instead of posting a response you can send a PM (private message) to any of the monitors here on the forums and they will address it. Short of that if you don't want to read about something that has been posted to a thread you can simply jump from that thread to a different one. Everyone has different tastes so be prepared to occassionally read something different than what you expect. We are all one big, happy, and very diverse population here on the forums and I for one applaude that fact. Ed
P.S. This is not ment to be anything but a comment. I hope I have not offended you by anything that I have posted as a reasponse

Thanks for the feedback on this. I setup a test integration of the eBay listings to import here into the forum. Click here if you want to read the announcement. Here is a link to the new forum with the eBay listings:

I agree with Lamtic that the local classified system is often safer and more like a deal between friends. Especially if you look up the member and see they have a high post count and you recognize them from the discussions. The eBay feeds are intended to be an addition to help members see a broad view of what's out there. It's also nice to watch the prices of auctions to keep a record of prices things are selling for.
I hope that members will start to post about the auction listings to help keep each other informed. The idea was to try and make it easy for us as a group to spot great deals, potential scams, identify potential issues, etc. We'll see if the threads get used that way...
