I'm not too bright... so I was a little confused with the new interface, but with input, I see lots of the old convenience features reappearing. The more I use it, the more logical the placement of things seem, and the better I like it!

I miss the buttons at the bottom of each post...

Very Subtle

I like the new forum so far. Lots to explore and learn.

Note that the four advertising links seem to be tied into the thread. Is that via keyword? Ah, by Google! The "We Must Never Forget..." thread has Hitler's Secret DVD, Russian Flasks, and Cold War Research on my last view. Will they change randomly or as the topic evolves?

Lightbulb

I have to say that I was a little taken aback by the new layout. But as stated by many members, change takes getting use to. I'm glad to see the rivets back, they seem to be part of the Airstream lifestyle. I will just keep reading, there never seems to be a shortage of it around here.

Hit the Quote button. Delete all the quoted stuff if you don't want to use it.

Besides hitting the quotes as suggested by RoadKingMoe, you could also just click on the name of the person's posting and, from the dropdown..
select the PM function..As well, as bunch of other functions without all of the "quotes" crud..
hint:
Just go to 53Flyingcloud on the upper left hand corner and, click on it..You'll see the drop down..
Heck, you can even add me to your buddy list from there..~lol

ciao

Thumbs up

I see that "Forums" is now an option along the top of the tool bar (for lack of anything else to call it). Thanks! That makes it a lot easier.

And now "Home" is also an option along the top of the tool bar on all other pages.

Thanks, Andy!

OK I'm glad someone spoke up. I just can't figure this thing out. There doesn't seem to be a reply button in my PM's, so I can't even get to the other forum members to find out what the heck has happened here. Just when I thought I knew most of what the forum was capable of, it has changed for the worse (sorry, but true for many of us) OK, Summerkid, this is my opinion, and sorry I can't reply to your PM, please let me know how to do so. I wanted to post a new thread last night about all of my questions, but again couldn't figure it out. I waisted hours last night trying to figure it out, but I give up. If it's not easy to use, I might as well spend the time on my airstreams, as somone else had mentioned.

I was a new computer owner, round about the same time I became an airstream owner, in January. The only thing I have figured out how to do well on the computer is download pictures from my camera, and play on the forum.

And where are my RIVETS??? I earned those suckers!

I hope to see you all in chat night tonight, but probably won't be able to figure out how that works by then either.

Hope you take this information, and help us all......Please fix it.

Thanks
Ron

Also if you go into the user cp you have an optionto change your posting methods to wysiyg and use colored fonts, change sizes, etc. Very nice.

ALso insert image urls, and other things are easier to accomplish.

Ron,

In the PM window click on the quote button, it works like the reply button did in the prior version.

To get to chat, you will need to be on the forums main page. To get there click on the word Forum in the upper left corer of the screen in the folder tree.

Then the forum index will look familiar.

Of course if the chat site is not back up there may not be chat tonight. But try anyhow

Arron,

Is that a threat? Or a thinly veiled offer of help? And if I read it right you offered to have Roger come help. All the better!

We planed moss roses last night until it got too dark to see. The raised / terraced beds are awaiting the fill for the big hole

Eric,

Click on the forums folder link title in the upper left corner, or the home button on the button bar. Once there the chat link is easy to find

Now Brett, fess up. Seems I said this would happen just last night.

In you defense though, time will heal

I feel for the novices that have really put a lot of effort into navigating this site only to be handed a new road map that is changing before they figure out how to fold it up. (including myself)
