I suspected as much.

My "optional information" section does not have the "custom user title" box.
Mine starts with Birthdate box, then it has Home page URL box, then Instant messaging box. It hen goes to new section called "additional information".

Is it possible that only Moderators have the view you sent?

Mucho Gracias

Can you explain?
Am I the only one or was it wide spread?

I am always trying to learn something.

that was quick service though. I expected a reboot on somebodies part.

The default for the standard members (99% of the members) was set to no custom titles. It was was a switch that was not carried over in the upgrade.

Since the pages are built off a database query no reboot is necessary. If the data or a switch changes a refresh is all that is necessary in the browser window and the change is viewable.

I do not post threads very often, and I can NEVER remember how to start a new thread. I always look in the FAQ section, but for some reason, that question is not addressed. How do you post a new thread??? I promise to copy the instructions this time and keep them.

Go to the forum you wish to post in. There will be a new thread button near the top of the list that is in the same position as the post reply button is in in this thread.

Suggestion: thumbnail multiple images?

If more than one image is attached to a thread or post, I think it would be great to view them as clickable thumbnail images rather than as text hyperlinks.
Then we could see the mini-pics at a glance and decide if we want to enlarge any, none or all.
Is this a doable thing?

Rog, I agree!

I need to upgrade part of the server to do this. It will most likely happen on Sunday April 25 very early in the morning. When I know more I'll post when exactly.

Advanced Search Nuisance

Each time I go to the advanced search feature, the "key word box" has the following already inserted into it.

SELECT id,user, userid, cat, title, bigimage, views FROM photos WHERE bigimage!='' AND approved='1' ORDER BY RAND() DESC LIMIT 3

This has to be removed and then I add whatever I happen to be looking for.It is just an extra step (to clear first) that has been only since the upgrade.

What is this there for? Is there a way to clear the box permanently?

I know how to do thumbnails as image tags (will some smart person correct my words if I am using the wrong ones) - I store my images on my isp's server (where I'm allowed free space). You need to make a thumbnail of the picture you want to link to, then type in something like this (I have deliberately added spaces to break it so you can see my example:

[ url=http://home.myisp.net/~username/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/insertpicturehere.jpg]
[img ]http://home.myisp.net/~username/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/insertthunmbnailhere.jpg[/img ][/url ]

...and this is is what everybody sees on the page:

<<<< Click On Image

Thumbnails are great, but alot of work.

The other forum I frequent doesn't host images at all, that is just one nice thing about this forum. I don't even know if thumbnails can easily be automated for us members to use when we post on threads.

I don't know for certain , but I expect Organic Hosting (aka Andy) provides these forums at his own expense - donations cheerfully accepted - and in his spare time. Both are priceless commodities, but sometimes I think we we ask more than we realize from our web masters (forum masters?), and moderators, too. Thanks Andy.

It looks like it is something that got added to the HTML code of the page when it was uploaded. We can add it to the list of things to tweak.
