Forum members with similar serial #'s

How cool is this...

About 3 weeks ago I noticed that a new Forum Member made the purchase of a 1955 Airstream Cruiser/Overlander which appeared to be very similar to ours.

Low and behold the new member, Vanman, has the serial # of 6589 and ours is 6578. 11 numbers apart and both trailers are still kickin.

We live in North Carolina and Vanman is in Arizona.

Makes you wonder if they were on the same assembly line together at the same time. Perhaps they were transported to the same dealer somewhere on the West Coast. The mind begins to spin.

Any other Forum Members bump into trailers with closely related serial numbers. Maybe one day #6589 and #6578 will cross paths again.

The serial # of my 1979 MH is 5143.
Curtis from Anchorage bought a 79 in California and drove it to Alaska. It is 5142. Even the GM vin numbers are just a few digits off.
We promptly flew to Alaska and Curtis picked us up from the Airport with the Airstream and let us stay in it at the Anchorage RV Park.
I am waiting to return the favor to Curtis and Family, when they come to Texas.

Wow...

Small world isn't it. Wondering if there are other fourm members with similar serial numbers.

Especially interested in the 50's models where members have noted serial numbers that are closely related.
