This past Tuesday we took possession of our new 27' International! This is our first time with a towable (or any RV for that matter...unless tent camping counts!) The dealer was great and suggested that we video tape the whole walk thru...so glad we did as we had many questions and referred back to the tape many times. We stayed 2 nights by the dealer at a RV park...wonderful neighbors that liked to help!!! We had a few "what the hell do I do" moments, like when the LP alarm started beeping at 5:30am (power surge!) Will we ever get used to backing this thing up? We have a storage area where we (used loosely....my hubby actually) have to back this thing(as yet to be named) into the parking space! He did great with the help of our son, but I'm sure was white knuckled all the way. SLOW is the key word. I did take many many many notes from everyone who offered lists and was surprised how well prepared we were...thank you!
The one thing I can't get used to...yet anyway....is no garbage disposal!! A mesh sink stopper took care of that! We are looking forward to many great times on the road, hopefully running into many of you along the way!
By the way...do Airstreamers wave at other Airstreamers, kinda like bikers do??? hope so, 'cuz I waved at a bunch
