Electrical failure

Hi Guys, I'm in Montauk NY camping and have lost 110 power. No AC power inside the unit, nothing at the main circuit breaker or any outlet. power supply is a working generator, verified cable is good. I would have to believe there is an open somewhere between the out side shore power connection(I've tried both front and side plugs with same the same result.

So my question is this, Is there another inline fuse or circuit breaker that might be tripped? I can't seem to find any in the owners manual.

Thank you ...hope you can assist.

Dave

David,

Does your trailer have a dual power connection package? Shore power at the rear, gen at the front. Maybe the generator transfer switch failed.

If it has two inlet plugs it has to have the switch. There have been a lot of reports of the switch failing. Seems like your trailer is in the time period for that problem. I do not have but one inlet so I do not know where the switch is located.

I doubt if there is a work around. There is a real big safety issue involved here. Maybe just get a charger for the batteries to keep them going and run an extension cord into the trailer for the 110 power until you can get it fixed.

I doubt if there is a work around unless you can completely disconnect one inlet and bypass the switch for one inlet to use. There is a real big safety issue involved here. Maybe just get a charger for the batteries to keep them going and run an extension cord into the trailer for power until you can get it fixed.
good advice....just going to recharge batteries and look at once I get home.

Thanks Bill

Any chance the genny overloaded and is not generating current? Could not tell from your post whether you had power at the genny outlet.

HI Guys,

Thanks for your advice, It turned out to be the Progressive Industries by pass remote, effectively its a transfer switch I didn't have it on.
All is good.

Just curious and glad it's working. Is this the item?

https://www.progressiveindustries.ne...ass-switch-kit

From their website:

"EMS-LCHW ByPass Switch Kit (for use with EMS-LCHW50 & EMS-LCHW30 series only)

EMS-LCHW ByPass Switch Kit enables user to add a remote bypass switch for emergency use."
