Dreams do come true.

After obsessing, dreaming and even stalking Airstreams for over 10 years I can finally say the obsession is now a reality. I will pick up my first Airstream tomorrow as a long planned gift for my 40th birthday. My choice a 2007 25ft LS Safari. My lack of sleep over the past week due to excitement reminds me of a child leading up to Christmas. To top it all off myself my wife and two children head down the road to the FL Keys a few days later. Wow, believe be patiant and dreams really do come true.

Congratulations! I have the best memories of Airstreaming with the kids when they were younger and so do they. Now that we're empty nesters, we're finding we enjoy it just as much but in a more relaxed way .
Florida has wonderful state campgrounds also so you're in a good place. Enjoy the Keys and your first outing!

Congrats! I had the same feeling 3 years ago and couldn't wait to go camping! Have fun and yes you must post pictures of your new family member! I think it's a requirement of Air Forums! Have fun, be safe and we are here to help with any questions you may have along the way.

Congratulations!

Our kids love camping, and they love our Airstream. The memories are priceless.

Oh, and happy birthday!

Congratulations! We're just about to start our third season and so I'm excited about going to get our Airstream out of storage on Friday, which is crazy for a supposedly same man of my age

Fantastic! That's quite the 40th birthday gift. (Mine came one year later.) Enjoy the trailer and your trip to the Keys!

MrUKToad, don't think you're crazy. I was towing our Safari (straight from winter storage to the repair shop for some fixes/upgrades) Tuesday. That day wasn't going so well, but towing my trailer gave me a big smile.

Here's the new edition. Nice way to break it in at Sunshine key in FL Keys this week. Still buzzing on cloud nine. Really appreciating the quality of a Airstream. Everything is so well made. So pleased with our investment. Kids are loving having their own beds, one on front couch other on the dinette. Loving our own bedroom section in back. The 25ft 2007 Safari SS is a perfect trailer for a family of 4. Can't wait for our next trip.. Any ideas or events this summer in either Giorgia, North Carolina, Tennessee.
Thanks

Looking good there! We are having a rally on April 12-14 at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Even if you can't get up here for the rally, that is a great place to camp. Come on up!

We towed our Airstream home from the storage place, deciding to go on the slower road rather than the 401; she looked resplendent in the fading light with her markers on, and how beautifully she tagged along behind us.

Just seeing the picture of your trailer in the Florida sunshine did give me a twinge, though, as ours is covered in a light layer of snow at the moment

I have been very lucky to have many terrific "toys" over the years, but I can honestly say, that buying and using my new Airstream ranks at the very top. I'm in Hawaii on a vacation right now and as I was walking along the beach I was contemplating how much more I'd be enjoying this vacation if I had SilverLeaf here. (BTW, was in your area in December -- Venice -- for a wonderful week of sunshine -- great campground there!)

That's great to hear. We came back last night and instead of going into our house we all hung out in the front yard in our Airstream discussing our trip. The kids wanted to sleep in it again

Good stuff and congrats from just up the road here. We're hitting the road on Wednesday for a few weeks up north ( SC and GA). If they're good as I'm led to believe ill let you know. Btw happy bday. Just turned 40 myself in December.
