Doodad ID needed

We picked this doohickey up a couple of months ago - but have no idea what it is. Can anyone ID this thing?

It seems to be primarily copper and the shiny stuff is well.. sort of "cloisonné" style. The studs in the back are machine threaded and it's fairly heavy for its size - 12" x 5" ish....

And the mystery is.....

Looks like a oval badge for an Airstream. Never thought they had holes in there to attach them, but maybe this is for a vintage unit?! Though at 12", it's pretty big for an oval badge come to thing of it.

Off a car??

I believe there was a car company that made an AIRSTREAM auto in the 40's. Could it be an emblem off of one of those?

Hair thingy... thing....

Looks like one of them there hair thingy things that my daughter is always trying to get me to hang in her hair for her.... she is only 7!

Then again, maybe not....

Let's see here....

If you were handy welding you could make a hitch/receiver cover out of it....

A "Welcome to my AS" sign....

A hat....?

A DANDY window ornament for your TV - with appropriate hangers and such...

A dandy "site occupied by ...." sign....

A "get to the front of the RV store check out line" chit....

A really cool coaster for....?

An odd shaped 'AS Frisbee'....

I am sure there are a million more that others can come up with but at least I got them started....

OK, I'm done, for now!
