Do you dream about your Airstream?
This is an informal poll to see what kind of dreams people have had about their Airstream.
For myself, I actually had a nightmare about my Airstream last night! I was towing the the trailer during a rainstorm and the road turned from bad to worse -- steep downhill, narrow, 1 1/2 lanes, asphalt missing in places, very winding (like that famous steep winding road in San Francisco). Anyhow, I was manipulating the Airstream around the last corner, which had a tree inside the elbow of the corner, when the tire blew on the trailer. Just as I barely cleared the tree and was bringing her around the bend, I noticed the flat tire in my rear view mirror. Before I could react, the trailer tipped over and split into three pieces! Trailer parts and contents were spewed all over the roadway. To make matters worse, I couldn't get a signal on my cellphone so drove the tow vehicle back up the hill to get a signal so I could call for help. When I returned to the trailer shortly afterward, there were 1/2 dozen cars parked around the accident scene with people looting trailer parts and contents! It was at that point that I woke up. Yikes! What a nightmare!

I dreamed that my X wife was taking me back to court for additional child support after 8 years of being divorced, and with one child already off on her own, STILL wanted MORE money. In my dream, I was frantically fixing my Airstream in preparation for me eventually HAVING to live in it on some land a friend of mine owns, since the attorney's fees were going to bankrupt me and force me to sell my house.
Oh wait! That isn't a dream, it is my reality! Sorry, it just seems like a nightmare. The part about me fixing up the trailer and living in it is definitely a dream of mine, and yes, I have dreamed about my trailer many times. They are usually very pleasant dreams about me sitting out under the awnings on a beautiful sunny day and just relaxing. Actually, it is a recurring dream I have. There is something very comforting about an Airstream that conjures up nice dreams.
Keep on dreaming!

stream dreams
hello,
strange you would bring this topic up as i did dream about my airstream 2 nights ago. first time i have done this. in any event, i am not sure how this happened in my dream but my bambi fliped over and i draged it for some distance. when uprighted (not sure how this happened in my dream) the whole side was scrapped and dented.
strange dream. the only explanation is that while on a 3000 mile trip this summer a drunk or drugged person on the side of I-15 picked up a hand full of gravel as i was going by and i thought he might throw it at my AS. well he didn't but i can imagine what that would be like.

Support
Hi Sneakinup,
Child support is for the good of the child(ren), and so the spouse who makes the most income must provide for them. At least that's the crap I got here in CA. What I saw was that I was subsidizing her trips to LA, Vail, and Aspen!
So I bought this MH and am fixing it up to take off in when the kids are out of here. All the property I have is my retirement fund. I'll sell all, and travel full time when the time comes.
My A/S dream was that she came to check it out and asked me to take her back, after she was old and couldn't find a guy to stay with her for too long. I woke up in cold sweats. I hope I never have to answer that question!

After 7 long days of polishing, I have definitely had a few dreams. Polishing in my sleep, I polish but do not make any headway.

After working continuously for the past 30+ years with only 2 week vacations... my recurring dream is travelling North America in my Airstream, wintering in the south, relaxing, and tinkering on the trailer.

Yukionna,
I drove your nightmare back many years ago on RT 9 in the dead of the night in Vermont, of all places, just exactlly as you described it without the trailer or the looters..It was an experience I'll never forget nor would I want to revisit it with a trailer behind me~!
QUICK..WAKE UP..

After jonesing for 2 months my copy of Air Stream Life arrived just as I headed off for work. It was a cold and raining night and I was working by my self. Except for one stuck valve to route some of the hydraulic load from the rain to another system it was a quiet night. I made my mandatory ckecks and phone call home. The call like most include why I have to work nights, why can't we get away without the kids. I heat "lunch" and pull out my Air Stream Life that I hid in my bag. I look at the polished trailer from Timeless on the back cover and think some day and start eating and reading. I finish 2 articles before turning to the back inside cover. This is about my threshold before having to read Tin Hut's letter. I finished it and wonder were Mrs. Hut reply is. I headed outside and feel the cold wet air and quietly shut the door on my Air Stream. I walk down the beach and see a man in a hammoc in front of his Air Stream the fog starts rolling in. The trailer in the distance starts to disapear in the fog I turn around and see my flags fluttering in the wind and the trailer shining in the moon light. "This is amazing." I say to my self "Where is my camerera, where ....." BEEP BEEP BEEP I jump up answer the alarm, look and see it had only been a few minutes.

I had a dream last night that some landscape workers had stacked a whole bunch of concrete stepping stones on the roof of my trailer. Once removed, the roof was completely caved in. OK, this was a nightmare, not a dream! Of course I awoke this morning and realized it was a dream, but I still had to peer out front to verify that my GT was indeed OK.

thinkin' and dreamin'
there is a very funny POLL on this topic.
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f161...-a-s-7166.html
for some reason the 'poll' part is closed
no doubt because some1 with their rivets a BIT TOO TIGHT was offended.
but the thread is still viable and the NOTION everlasting.
and reminds me of the seinfeld episode on it...
as in, "he took it out"..."he took what out?"... "it"...."he took, IT, out?"... "yessiree bob"...
now, WHO B brave enough to bump that thread again (i did last year)
cheers

Many people dream about an Airstream, that they want, don't have, but are almost there.

I'd like to say that I dream "inside" my Airstream. However I'm one of those who falls dead asleep as soon as my eyes close...almost anywhere. I come bolt upright most mornings with a dog wanting to be released to the out of doors, but I generally wake and my mind turns on... always "day dreaming."
I spend a lot of time in Airstream One and can say she drives like a dream.

When I was a teen ager, I had one dream...I was on a balcony- and across the street in another balcony was Paul McCartney talking with me. Then the dream switched and Paul, Linda and me were sitting in THEIR (?) Airstream in a little jungle and they were showing me their jewelry. That dream really stuck with me Ha! And I watch out for large meals before bedtime from now on.
